1940 ~ 2012 Mrs. Marlene Peterson, beloved wife of the late Mr.

Gordon Peterson, passed away at the Medicine Hat Regional Hospital on Saturday, February 4, 2012, at the age of 71 years. She leaves to cherish her memory: four children, Marina (Rob) Hall, Sharon Schonhofer, Blaine (Charlene) Peterson and Blaire (Andrea) Peterson; fourteen grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren. Her memory will also be cherished by her four brothers, Melvin (Patti) Peterson, Richard (Deb) Peterson, Vern (Wendy) Peterson, Ron Peterson; one brother-in-law, Vern Knibb as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, Carl and Irene Peterson as well as one sister, Lola Knibb and one brother, Edward Cornell. Marlene lived most of her life in the Burdett area, only recently moving into the Wellington at Medicine Hat. She loved time spent with her grandkids. Along with her family, she will be missed by many close friends and acquaintances, both in Burdett and Medicine Hat. Those wishing to pay their respects may do so starting one hour prior to the Funeral Service which will be held at St. Andrews United Church, 139 - 2 Avenue West, Bow Island on Tuesday, February 7, 2012, at 1:00 P.M. with Pastor Sheila McLeod officiating. Interment will follow at the Burdett Cemetery.
