Edward Aaron Nuttall passed away on January 25, 2012 in Maple Creek. Edward was born in Medicine Hat on April 9, 1936. Edward was predeceased by his parents Bill and Emily, sister Ruth, also brothers-in-law Ivan Kaglea, Roland Olsen and sister-in-law Edna Kaglea and their parents Jake and Louise Kaglea. Edward is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Bertha; brother-in-law Frank Petrich, niece Tracey and nephew Trent; also his brothers-in-law Edward (Violet) Kaglea, Lloyd (Carrie) Kaglea and sister-in-law Irene Olsen and their families. As well as cousins and all his many friends and neighbours. Edward went to school at Downey Lake Economy and in Maple Creek. He took part in football, baseball, played a time with the “Merry Battlers,” also rode in the Musical Ride, which George Carson lead for entertainment for an International 4-H Rally held at Cypress Park in 1954. They also took the ride to Swift Current Rodeo for entertainment at intermission, there were twenty in the ride. Edward spent all his life ranching in the foothills of the Cypress Hills. He spent many years at the McGarry Place (where the Cypress Hills Winery is) then in 1957 they moved to the Nuttall homestead where he lived until 2004 when he sold to Jess and Tanya Parsonage and retired to Maple Creek. Edward will be missed by his “coffee” friends and all who knew him. The funeral service took place at the Royal Canadian Legion Hall in Maple Creek, Sask. on Wed., Feb. 1 at 2 p.m. The eulogy was read  by Corbett Faulkner. Interment took place at the Maple Creek Cemetery. Ushers were Clay Yarshenko and Randy Bohnet. Active pallbearers were Dave White, Donald Saynor, Jess Parsonage, Ron Gordon, Clayton Kaglea, Corbett Faulkner. Honorary pallbearers were all those who shared in Edward’s life.
