Mackay, Jeffrey James. On January 11, 2013, Dad took his last ride. Left to carry on his legend are his pride and joy, daughters Lenna (Darryl) Jennings and their daughters Sommer and Drew, Leeta (Brent) Hurford and the apple of his eye granddaughter Essa Crush; his parents Joe and Jen Mackay; his brothers Randy (Joan), Greg (Carol) and Mike (Jennifer); his greatest admirers, nephews Kyle, Scott, Nick and Zac and niece Tiffany. Dad was never afraid of hard work. He spent most of his work career in the oilfield. All of his hard work paid off with eventually owning his own company, "Double L Inspection Ltd". His daily walks and hot dogs will be sadly missed by his two furry sidekicks Duke and Chai Boo. He lived his life his way and stood up for what he believed in. He is our biggest hero and will forever be in our hearts. "He wasn't a hero known by the world. But a hero he was to his little girls. He taught us life's lessons, of right from wrong, and instilled in us values that made us strong. And so though the years, like a hero he stood, working to give all that he could. His presence was important, and we loved to see him smile. For no one in the world could emulate his style. And so dear Dad, our best memory to recall, is the gift of your presence, the greatest gift of all. See you on the other side." Warren's Funeral Home in care of arrangements.
