Gerald Gerry L. Stuber passed away on Friday, February 1, 2013, at the age of 69 years, beloved husband of Lorraine Stuber of Medicine Hat.
He also leaves to cherish his memory his children, Darcy (Crystal) Stuber and Wendy Stuber (Henry Emery); three grandchildren, Brandon, Nicole and Tyler and one great grandchild. He was born on November 14, 1954. He was predeceased by his parents Erhard and Elsie Stuber. Gerry was raised in the Tothill District where he attended the country schools, Gros Ventre and Theman Lake. On January 26, 1963, Gerry married Lorraine Reiger. He was on the highway for eighteen years running transport before having his own transport business for four years. Gerry bought his parents business on January 1, 1980 which they had since 1968 called the Triple E. He eventually had three stores on North Railway street. In the 1990's he opened a store in Brooks which he sold the building years later requiring him to moved all stock back to Medicine Hat. The business is still operating after 45 years as Triple E since Gerry and Lorraines son Darcy took over the business on September 11, 2005. That is what you call a family business! Gerry and Lorraine started spending their winters down south in 2003. They loved to escape the cold. Following an operation on February 23, 2012 in Yuma, Arizona, Gerry was told he had Stage 4 cancer which he battled until his passing.
